Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
ART is a powerful technique that helps reduce the negative impact of distressing memories. By using eye movements similar to those during REM sleep, ART helps reprogram how your brain stores these memories, reducing their emotional and physical impact. It also incorporates somatic techniques to help regulate the body's stress response, making it a gentle and effective approach for children and adults.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, you don't have to relive painful experiences. Instead, your therapist guides you through eye movements while you focus on the issue, allowing your brain to create new, less distressing associations. This process helps you heal and move forward without the intense pain of the past.
ART with Young Children
When used with young children, ART is integrated into a play-based approach that supports emotional and nervous system regulation. Rather than focusing on specific memories or verbal processing, sessions emphasize calming the body’s stress response through gentle, rhythmic eye movements and somatic cues. This body-based work blends seamlessly with child-centered play therapy, helping children feel safer, more regulated, and better able to engage in play therapy and process big emotions.
