Adolescent Therapy
At Fresh Outlook, I specialize in working with adolescents as they navigate the complex emotional and behavioral challenges that often come with this stage of life. These years can bring overwhelming emotions, anxiety, low self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, school difficulties, psychiatric hospitalizations, and more. Each of these challenges requires a thoughtful, developmentally informed approach that honors the unique needs of teens.

Many of the adolescents I work with are also grappling with struggles around independence, honesty, and family relationships. My approach blends structure with flexibility, using a combination of talk therapy and creative, expressive methods—such as sand tray, art, and other hands-on techniques. These approaches are especially helpful for teens who haven’t connected well with more traditional therapy styles, allowing for deeper emotional exploration in a way that feels safe and natural.

Parent involvement is an essential part of the therapeutic process. I work to maintain a delicate balance between honoring a teen’s need for privacy and ensuring open, supportive communication with parents. Navigating confidentiality while keeping lines of communication strong is a central focus of my work and an area where I bring a great deal of care and expertise.

Whether your teen is acting out, withdrawing, or just seems lost or overwhelmed, therapy can offer a supportive path toward healing, growth, and renewed connection for your family.
